What is R value of foam insulation?
Joe

@Derek: It depends on how thick they spray it. R values are measure with radiant heat. You can have insulation with air leakage with a high r-value. You can have a spray foam with a low R Value that actually would be better than batted insulation with a higher R value.
I expect soon that all we will see is spray foam.

Is an open cell or closed cell better for home application?

@Phillip: Open cell allows some air and you would be less likely to have any mold issues. You can also do thinkgs like fish wires through walls in an open cell. My preference would be open cell.
